Many years ago, we purchased two yellow plastic jerry cans, filled them up and lugged them into the basement of a building to fill up two diesel fire pumps that had been running all night (and no one knew). That was the first time we lugged diesel from the bowser to an engine in need.
Fast forward 10 years, and we purchased a vehicle kitted out with a diesel fuel container, pump and hose. We added a spill kit, documented our systems, trained our team and started filling more and more pumps.
During COVID-19, we were asked to urgently top up the diesel fuel for a hospital in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It was more than we had ever done before, but we were up to the task.
In 2023, we were contacted by a fire contractor to take over the responsibility for filling diesel fire pumps for their customers. We needed to sign a commercial cooperation and confidentiality agreement, which was a no-brainer. By then, the word was out, and we started getting regular calls. First, it was once a week, later a few calls a week, and now it's many times per day, and we deliver small volumes of diesel fuel across Melbourne for all types of diesel engines.
